We have been in the business of “CP Restoration” for over the past twenty years. “Dear Ole Dad” inspired us to learn the art of china repair and we were also tutored by William and Byron Klein of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, whose family has passed the knowledge down for 200 years.
We restore anything from porcelain and ceramic to marble and jade, earthenware and pottery, to cement fireplace or decorative roof tiles, from yard sale specials to 4000 year old Chinese water jugs. Each piece is given the same individual quality, attention and care, whether it comes from an individual, a dealer, or a museum. We enjoy our work and find each piece to be unique in its repair and enjoy the diversity of articles we have seen over the years.
We have developed our own style and techniques, improving upon what we have learned and continuing to improve on that to better serve our clientele and ensure customer satisfaction. We have spent countless hours in our research to adhere to the “integrity” of the piece and keep our repair areas as small as possible. Plenty of research time goes into the restoration process because authenticity of each project is vital.
Our repairs are invisible, unless otherwise requested and at times have proven to be undetectable under blacklight when the finish has a Gloss Sheen. Some of our Satin or Flat Finishes may show under blacklight scrutiny.
Estimates are Free! All prices are based solely on the work and material involved and NOT on the value of the piece to be restored. Because of the varying price of gold, items of gold gild replacement are subject to the current market changes and there will be no guarantee of a perfect match due to the many different shades and grades of gold. No repairs will be done on any item without authorization.
